Building Strong Foundations Through Play
Building Strong Foundations Through Play
At Brain Bridges, we believe the most meaningful progress happens in a child's natural environment. By partnering with families in their homes, we create realistic, practical, and individualized interventions that seamlessly fit into daily routines.

Hi! My name is Andrew Hwang. I’m a pediatric occupational therapist and the founder of Brain Bridges. I earned my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Towson University in 2022 and have spent the past four years working with children of all abilities and developmental needs.
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, play-based, and child-led. I believe therapy should feel engaging, meaningful, and tailored to each child. My goal is to help children build skills, confidence, and independence while celebrating the unique way they experience and interact with the world.
Outside of therapy, I love cooking, baking, exercising, and spending time with my wife and son. I’m excited to bring my passion for pediatric OT and family-centered care to Brain Bridges!

At Brain Bridges, we believe therapy should feel like play, connection, and growth. Our approach is child led, neurodiversity affirming, and built around each child's unique strengths and interests. We provide individualized therapy in the comfort of your home while partnering closely with parents through hands on coaching and practical strategies. Our goal is to build meaningful skills that fit into real life.
Brain Bridges is a private pay practice. We have chosen this model so we can focus on providing the highest quality, individualized care for your child without the restrictions that can sometimes come with insurance-based services. This allows us to tailor therapy to your child's unique needs, prioritize meaningful goals, and provide care based on what we believe will be most beneficial for your child and family.
We can provide a detailed superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out of network reimbursement. Reimbursement varies by insurance plan, so we recommend contacting your insurance provider to learn about your specific out of network benefits.
Absolutely! We offer a complimentary 15-minute virtual consultation before your child's evaluation. This is a chance for us to meet, learn a little about your child and your family's needs, answer any questions, and help you feel comfortable before getting started. Our goal is for you and your child to feel welcomed, heard, and confident in choosing Brain Bridges.
Sessions and evaluations are 60 minutes and are play based, child led, and tailored to your child's unique needs and goals. We use meaningful activities and everyday routines to support skills such as sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, and executive functioning.
A 30 minute virtual consultation designed to give parents practical, individualized strategies for challenges they're experiencing at home. We'll discuss your child's specific needs and identify strategies you can incorporate into everyday routines. Topics may include emotional regulation, transitions, sensory needs, behaviors, routines, and daily activities.
This service is designed for parent education and guidance and does not replace a comprehensive occupational therapy evaluation or ongoing treatment. If your child would benefit from a full OT evaluation, we can discuess whether that may be appropriate.
Brain Bridges provides mobile services throughout Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Prince George's County.
